Her career didn't falter with Dick Tracy. I remember VERY clearly when that film came out, I was 14. She was at her height: Vogue, Breathless Mahoney in Dick Tracy and her Blond Ambition tour. Breathless was the first role since Susan where she actually did something semi worthwhile. She even was paid the union scale per week for that film, which was just over a thousand a week, because she needed that role. Evita was an ongoing music video, so of course she didn't need to really "Act" just lipsynch. Having seen her on stage in "Speed The Plow" in the 1990's, it's no wonder she hasn't acted much, she sadly isn't an actress relying on talent to pull people into theatres. She is starting to learn people don't want to see her act, it's not worth her time.
